- Addressees: Legally qualified midwives who wish to complete a part-time BA degree program and thus acquire the title "Bachelor of Science"
- Admission requirements: University entrance qualification, permission to use the professional title of midwife, current professional activity as a midwife
- Structure: the extra-occupational online study program, which credits selected midwifery training content, is based on 3 didactic pillars:
- Independent completion of study letters (e.g. "Complex case understanding in obstetrics") - with constant support from module supervisors
- Participation in online seminars in an interdisciplinary group (specialists from other healthcare professions/social sciences), e.g. "Scientific work"
- Participation in online seminar with undergraduate students of midwifery science (#longlife learning & joint research in tandem): "Empirical research project"
- Duration of the part-time online course: 2.3 years

Part-time Bachelor (B.Sc.) Midwifery course in Osnabrück
From the summer semester 2025, a new course of study will be offered for midwives trained under the old law.
The degree program qualifies students for the academic degree of Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.).
The former legal education is credited with 90 ECTS without further preliminary examination, so that entry into the 4th semester is possible.
