Midwife care during pregnancy
Every pregnancy is different, which is why every woman receives individual care from her midwife. Whether it's questions about the changes that pregnancy brings with it or specific complaints - as a pregnant woman, you are in good hands with your midwife with all these concerns. Your midwife will also listen to any worries and fears that may arise during your pregnancy. Midwives know proven remedies that can alleviate complaints such as heartburn, nausea, sleep disorders or water retention. Your midwife can even support you in the event of a miscarriage.
Pregnancy care
The regular check-ups during pregnancy can - if the pregnant woman so wishes - also be carried out by the midwife. These examinations include checking the baby's heartbeat and determining the baby's position. Physical changes and complaints of the expectant mother are also taken care of.
The check-ups are carried out in accordance with the maternity guidelines. They can be carried out by the midwife independently and on her own responsibility or in cooperation with the gynecologist in charge.
Birth preparation
The birth of a child is not just the start of a new life - it also changes a lot in the lives of the parents-to-be. This needs to be well prepared, for example with a birth preparation course, which helps pregnant women to prepare for the birth process in the best possible way with extensive information and exercises. In addition, knowledgeable content and practical exercises are taught to prepare parents for the first time with their newborn.
Birth preparation courses are offered in various forms: There are courses aimed solely at the mother-to-be, while others are aimed specifically at couples. There are special courses for multiple births or future multiple parents. The courses can be attended over a period of several weeks or compressed into a weekend. Courses that run over several weeks should be started between the 28th and 30th week of pregnancy. For weekend courses, attendance between the 32nd and 36th week of pregnancy is recommended.
Individual instruction is possible under certain conditions and on medical prescription. The team at the Midwife Center will be happy to advise you in more detail on this topic if required.
