Birth follow-up for exhausted parents: Mothers need networks - When life gets out of balance
The online event will take place on 15.04.2026 from 16:00 - 17:30.
Birth and becoming a mother change everything.
They bring joy, love and hope - but also farewells, uncertainties and profound changes. Health, family, living conditions and your own self-image often change. Becoming a mother is not a single moment, but a long journey - a process that can sometimes be overwhelming.
Notruf Mirjam is a network for mothers in extreme situations. They accompany and support mothers in financial difficulties, single mothers, women who are faced with the difficult decision to give up their child and mothers who are in a psychological crisis and urgently need help.
In the training course, they present the work of Notruf Mirjam and talk about why it is so important that mothers do not remain alone. They show what concrete help can look like - through discussions, financial support and, if necessary, a protective roof over their heads. They will also report on the good practice example of the online exchange group in the Hanover region. The training is aimed at professionals from the obstetric, psychosocial and counseling context.

How can we reach people particularly affected by heat in the long term?
The conference "Hot days, clear words: How communication can protect health" will discuss various communication approaches, provide practical recommendations for action and focus on pregnant women, homeless people, older people and patients in GP practices in four workshops. The conference is organized by the Lower Saxony Action Forum Health and Climate (NAGuK), coordinated by the Lower Saxony State Health Office (NLGA), together with the NAGuK members AOK Lower Saxony, Lower Saxony Medical Association, Lower Saxony State Association for Health and Academy for Social Medicine as well as the Lower Saxony Ministry for Social Affairs, Labour, Health and Equality (NLGA, 2026)
