Articles in the daily press

According to the sixth assessment report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (2021), heat is the greatest threat to human health in Europe and Germany due to climate change. Pregnant women, infants and young children are particularly at risk. High temperatures and poor air quality promote premature births, malformations and the risk of pregnant women suffering from pre-eclampsia.

An article on the cooperation project with Hanover University of Applied Sciences and Arts was recently published in the HAZ newspaper.

Photo campaign for International Midwives Day on May 5, 2020

Midwives show their faces.
In times of corona, everyday life is completely different than usual - even for freelance midwives in the Hannover Region.
To mark International Midwives' Day on 5 May 2020, the Midwives' Center of the Hannover Region called on people to show the faces of their colleagues who are still working despite the coronavirus crisis. The midwives sent in their photo contributions.
Pictures of the photo campaign can be found here.

Specialist book flea market for midwives

From October 2019, the Hebammenzentrale Region Hannover will be offering colleagues the opportunity to hand in or exchange used specialist books at the Hebammenzentrale. If a colleague brings in a book, she can either exchange it for an existing one or make her book available.

The books can be handed in in the mornings between 09:00 and 12:00 directly at the midwifery center in Dieterichsstraße 25 (front building). Interested colleagues can also come at this time and browse through the collection. We look forward to your visit!
